Critical Mass isn't exactly the type of site that likes to survive on its own on the big bad Internet. On
the other hand, it isn't exactly the type of site that likes to link to every other site imaginable. I (REX
Barron) am flattered if you want to affiliate, but your site has to meet a few basic guidelines:
1. The site has to be Mega Man-related primarily. Whether it's a webcomic, a sprite rip archive
or another Mega Man Team doesn't matter.
2. The site has to have a decent layout, though I mean that in terms of appearance. Where it's hosted doesn't matter—
I mean, come on, Critical Mass is on Tripod, after all!
3. The site must have been around for at least two or three months, preferably longer. If the site changes
hosts, however, the total time that the project has been online is counted rather than just the time on the most recent host.
There should be semi-regular activity; I realize this can be difficult for some people to regularly update their sites given
real-life situations, but I will end up pulling your site from the affiliates list if it hasn't been significantly updated
in two months or so.
4. The site cannot steal content from another source. It's not a big deal if you created original content from
Googled images or the like; but you've cost yourself a link if you stole from another site, left it virtually intact and made
it the prime content of your site.
5. On a personal bias; I won't accept sites which show hentai, yaoi or yuri; especially if one or both of the
involved characters in those relationships are official characters.
6. We don't affiliate with forums.
You can request affiliation either on
our forum or by e-mailing me at
rex_barron@hotmail.com. If your site gets accepted, please put our button on the site and allow us to do the same with an affiliate button
you have.
